The next NZ ng Connect meeting focuses in on Smart Cities and will be held at the Chorus Co-innovation lab at 99 Khyber Pass Road. The meeting will be held over two days, commencing at 12:00 noon on Wednesday 26th and continuing on Thursday 27th, closing at 5:00 PM that day.
The purpose of this meeting is to show the ng Connect community the kinds of services a city landscape can deploy or create through the use of ultra broadband technologies to improve the lives of New Zealand citizens.
Day one will focuss on the elements that go into the make-up of a Smart City as well as what the future will hold if Smart City technology is succesfully enabled.
Day two will involve working through the very thorough ng Connect ideation framework. This will bring up opportunities for the attendees to identify problems and opportunities together, As well as come up with possible solutions where specific services and applications can be implemented to create a Smarter City.
We will have a range of interesting specialists in attendance, including leaders from Wanganui, Auckland city council and academics from AUT and Bell Labs, all experts in the area of Smart Cities.
